Societal anchoring

The aim of a transition experiment is to help scale up practices that are fundamentally innovative and more sustainable.

In practice, an experiment does not automatically lead to the wider adoption of new practices. Many experiments, even very promising ones, are not followed up. Little is yet known about the underlying reasons for this or what can be done to rectify that, but knowledge is growing and is summarised here in a series of key questions and answers.
